Ingredients

  • Why are the Spaghetti-Noodles called ‘single ingredient’?
All our pastas are made from the ingredients written in the name and nothing else. Eg. Our 100 Chickpea & Soybean variant is made from 2 ingredients only - chickpeas & soybeans. Nothing else.

  • What is Edamame?
Edamame are young green soybeans that are harvested at 80% maturity. They are commonly roasted or steamed and are a dense source of protein. We use Edamame in our Spaghetti-Noodle range with 3 variants made with Edamame.

  • Why Quinoa?
Quinoa is an ancient grain with roots in South America. It is a great substitute for rice (containing 2X the fibre) and a versatile superfood. It is a great vegetarian source of complete protein, with all 9 amino acids. It is enriched with Vitamin A & C and helps to control blood sugar levels. Can be eaten sweet or savoury.

  • Difference between sabja and chia?
Though from the same family, Sabja and Chia are completely different seeds. Sabja are basil seeds. Chia seeds on the other hand come from the Chia plant. Chia seeds are a fiber rich superfood, higher in protein and a denser source of Vegan Omega 3s.

  • Which pasta should I try first?
If you’re new to the world of our alternative bean spaghetti-noodles, we recommend you try the 100% Chickpea & Soybean first. It tastes the most like traditional pasta (without the wheat or starch/rice flour) and is the softest to eat.

  • Can you wash Chia Seeds?
Our Chia seeds come precleaned and need not be washed before consumption.

  • Does Quinoa need to be washed before eating?
We recommend thoroughly washing Quinoa before use. Wash and rinse it at least three times before cooking.

  • Do the ready to eat Quinoa Cups have preservatives?
No, our Quinoa Cups are preservative free and do not have any added oil or butter! Only quinoa, spices and vegetables!

Cooking

  • How long does it take to cook the pastas?
We recommend boiling the 100% Chickpea & Soybean Spaghetti for a maximum of 6 minutes.
The other 3 variants take between 8-10 minutes to cook in boiling water. Keep an eye on it for the texture you prefer (al dente or well cooked).
  • How to cook Quinoa?
Quinoa cooks exactly like rice! Wash the Quinoa. Put 2x the water of the amount of Quinoa in a saucepan and bring it to a boil. Add the Quinoa on low heat and cover. Allow the quinoa to absorb all the water (15-18mins). DO NOT STIR. Once all the water is absorbed, let it cool and fluff with a fork.
  • Do Chia Seeds need to be cooked?
No cooking is required. Just soak them in water for 15 minutes and they are ready to drink or use as a chia gel.
  • Do you have to soak Chia Seeds in water?
No, while we recommend you have a tablespoon of Chia Seeds daily for maximum benefits, you can choose how you’d like to have it. You can blend it in your smoothie, add it to breakfast bowls, salads, juice, or have it soaked in water

  • How do I cook the ready to eat Quinoa Cups?
All instructions are on the cup. Remove contents into the cup, add boiling water slightly above the content and close the lid for 8 mins. Mix well and eat. You can also cook it in the microwave.
